The Emotional Fitness Program is a multi award winning program designed to act as a gateway to peer support and clinical support for clients with trauma and addiction issues. The EF Program provides a range of innovative, non-confrontational self study workshops and discussion groups for males and females aged 14 and upward facing these challenges.
The group is a topic meeting about the emotional reality of recovery. Subjects such as shame, grief, anger, guilt, intimacy, jealousy and at least another 50 topics are discussed. This group helps individuals process their emotions in a supportive peer support environment, in order to help them build quality of life and understand more about their history of addictive and self sabotaging patterns.
The format is voluntary sharing so those who don't want to speak will not be asked to, they can just come and observe if they prefer. However if they choose to share they are welcome to. Other attendees are from all walks of life, the corporate professional sector, entertainment industry, mums and dads, street kids, sex workers and everyone in between. The age group ranges from age 14 to 70.
Transforming the Scars of abuse into Stars of recovery is exactly what takes place internally for those choosing to heal emotional wounding. This gentle hour topic group deals specifically with issues surrounding abusive trauma.
This group is designed for those who are seeking to improve their ability to cope with doubt, trust, self loyalty, privacy, jealousy, sexual feelings and many other challenging feelings that arise as they heal from abuse in their lives. Each week a new topic is explored and participants are encouraged to observe and or participate at their own pace. Weekly readings are provided for each person to take home with them after the group.
The Emotional Fitness Foundation Workshops run for twenty weeks and offer individuals a five stage structured approach to overcoming their history of abuse and/or addiction. Each workshop runs for two hours and gives individuals the opportunity to self study, and learn more about their emotional patterns and behaviours.
Each attendee is provided with their own workbook as a personal journal for their recovery work. The workshops also provide handouts, fun role plays and interactive exercises to help participants loosen up and stop being so hard on themselves and learn how to create more constructive behaviours.
